Surfboards

Directional surfboards let you ride waves the way they were meant to be ridden, and strapless freestyle has become one of the most rewarding disciplines in the sport. We stock shapes from Duotone and North built specifically for kiting, with reinforced construction that handles the loads a kite puts through a board.

Length is chosen by rider weight and wave size. Shorter boards in the 5'1" to 5'3" range are quick and loose for strapless tricks, while 5'6" and up give more drive and paddle-free glide in bigger, cleaner surf. Most kite-specific boards run thicker than a standard surfboard to survive hard landings.

Add traction pads for grip, and a boardbag to protect the rails.
