Board Accessories
The hardware that finishes a board setup: fins, grab handles, screws, washers, inserts and mounting kits. Small parts that are easy to lose and annoying to be without.
Fins are worth paying attention to. Larger fins hold better upwind and give more grip for freeride, while smaller fins release easier for sliding and freestyle. Most twintips ship with a middle-of-the-road set that plenty of riders never change, but swapping them is one of the cheapest ways to noticeably alter how a board feels.
Screws and inserts corrode in salt water, so keeping a spare set on hand is sensible. See also traction pads and bindings.
