Cold feet end sessions faster than a cold core. Neoprene boots from Mystic and ION, in thicknesses from 3mm summer booties through to 6/5mm winter boots.

Split-toe designs give you better board feel and grip, which matters for strapless riding and foiling where you are moving your feet around. Round-toe boots are warmer and more comfortable for most people. Internal split is a middle ground: the warmth of a round toe with some of the control of a split.

Fit should be tight when dry, since neoprene stretches once wet. A loose boot flushes cold water continuously and will never warm up. Pair with gloves and a hood for winter.
