Cold water is the limiting factor for most sessions on the California coast, and the right suit is what turns a short session into a full one. We carry wetsuits from Mystic, ION and Ride Engine in every thickness from summer shorties to hooded 5/4mm winter suits.
Thickness is a starting point, not the whole story. A 4/3mm suit in premium Yamamoto neoprene will often feel warmer and stretch better than a heavier suit in cheaper rubber. Entry style matters too: front-zip and zipfree suits flush less and stay warmer, while back-zip suits are easier to get in and out of.
